Alan Fischer: Vintage and Natural

4 Dec

The works displayed are a conscious blend of two distinct elements which I’ve found to be driving forces, making our state so rich. Those being, our outdoor landscapes and vintage buildings. Presented together, the series attempts to project the natural, God-made uniqueness of Arizona, combined with the man-made accents of structures so indelible to the region that they too, become as indigenous as the cactus.
Not only a joy to record the visuals we’re so blessed here to have, but also the opportunity to share them in this gallery setting. Thanks and dedication to the people around me, and their support in this endeavor; as well as the resurgence of art’s drive in my life. In the same manner a writer is sometimes stirred to pen in the night, so it might happen that God would chance to re-awaken in us the things of old, refreshed, like a bright, new landscape. – A.R. Fischer
