Robert Bauer’s Tangible Realities

27 Jul

Bauer’s paintings integrate everyday scenery and objects in a surreal yet contemporary composition resulting in a deep sense of the embodiment of social matters. ““Temptation,” for example, does not depict a specific temptation, as might be defined by a religion or morals but rather an abstraction of temptation as something entered into by people voluntarily, which is usually on the fringe of society, (behind closed doors).”- Robert Bauer.
