Sandra Neumann Wilderman

Wilderman has several distinctive techniques resulting in abstract and contemporary representations of familiar scenery. Her “approach to painting is to pour layers of acrylics onto wet watercolor paper creating biomorphic shapes and linear sharpness. After painting directly on the paper, I pour the paint, cut into half inch strips and then weave one painting into the other to create a systematic, geometric and textural composition.

The inspiration for my colorful abstracts is from the Arizona desert and in capturing the essence of the Southwest landscape, instead of a detailed representation.”-Sandra Neumann Wilderman
